Since 1957, Southern Cross Safaris has built a reputation as one East Africa’s premier safari tour operators. The company is an owner-run destination management company (DMC) operating from a head office in Nairobi, with regional offices in Mombasa, Arusha and the spice Island of Zanzibar and an international office in the United Kingdom.

Recognising that the secret of our success lies in a hands on personal touch, our service-oriented company has resisted the temptation to grow too large. Managing Director and proprietor of Southern Cross Safaris, Mr. John Lyall, leads a specialised, dedicated and dynamic team who plan and execute every safari, incentive group, conference or event in East Africa.

Being a specialist operator, we cater for both the private and corporate sectors, specialising in the design of tailor-made itineraries for individuals and groups throughout East Africa. We undertake all facets of tailor-made travel, special interest holidays, incentive and conference and event planning, from travel arrangements to media liaison and leisure time activities.
